The Communities
Your visit will benefit the following communities: El Palmar, Cajaro, Remanso, El Venao, and Inírida. These communities are home to the Sikuani and Piaroa ethnic groups, known for their rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge.
- Sikuani: The Sikuani people, also known as Guahibo, are indigenous to the Orinoco River basin. They have a profound connection to their environment and are known for their traditional farming techniques and production of mañoco and cassava.
- Piaroa: The Piaroa are an indigenous people of the Amazon Basin, known for their deep spiritual connection to the land and their intricate knowledge of medicinal plants. They have preserved their traditional practices and live in harmony with nature
