Pasimoni Lodge Fishing Report — Week 1, 2026

Week 1 | 6 Fishing Days | 10 Anglers

The 2026 season at Pasimoni Lodge got off to a strong start with an international group of anglers arriving from Argentina, Brazil, and South Africa.

The group included both returning guests who already knew the Pasimoni River and anglers experiencing this remote fishery for the first time.

Water levels were still slightly high during the first week, with some rain throughout the expedition. However, the conditions did not prevent the group from finding consistent fishing across all six fishing days.

By the end of the week, the group had recorded 34 notable Peacock Bass measuring over 70 cm, including 14 fish over 80 cm. The largest fish of the week reached an impressive 88 cm.

RIVER & WEATHER CONDITIONS

Water levels remained slightly high during the opening week of the season. These conditions can make Peacock Bass fishing in the Amazon more challenging, as fish can move into different areas of the river and surrounding jungle habitat.

Rain showers were also part of the week, but they never became a significant obstacle to the fishing program. The group was able to maintain the planned fishing schedule and spend all six days on the river.

Despite the changing conditions, the Pasimoni River continued to produce quality fish.

The first week demonstrated that even with relatively high water levels, the fishery can provide consistent opportunities for anglers targeting trophy Peacock Bass in the Amazon jungle.

CONSISTENT PEACOCK BASS FISHING

The objective during the week was not simply to maximize the number of fish caught, but to focus on quality Peacock Bass. For this reason, our weekly statistics highlight fish measuring 70 cm or more, giving a better representation of the quality of the fishery from an angler’s perspective. Across six fishing days, the group recorded 34 Peacock Bass measuring 70 cm or more, with 14 fish exceeding 80 cm.

The week produced quality fish consistently, with several days registering multiple Peacock Bass in the 80 cm range. For anglers travelling deep into the jungle in search of trophy fish, this consistency was one of the most encouraging aspects of the opening week.

THE FISH OF THE WEEK

88 CM — PASIMONI’S BIGGEST FISH OF WEEK 1

The highlight of the opening week was an impressive 88 cm Peacock Bass, the largest fish recorded during Week 1 at Pasimoni Lodge.

An 88 cm Peacock Bass is exactly the type of fish that makes Pasimoni River fishing such a special experience. In a remote jungle environment, every quality fish becomes part of the story of the expedition.

The 88 cm fish established the benchmark for the first week of the 2026 season.

But the season is only beginning.

AN INTERNATIONAL GROUP IN THE AMAZON

One of the highlights of Week 1 was the international group itself.

Anglers travelled from Argentina, Brazil, and South Africa, bringing together different fishing backgrounds and experiences.

Some guests were returning to Pasimoni, while others were experiencing the fishery for the first time.

That combination created a great atmosphere throughout the week, both on the river and back at the lodge.

A Peacock Bass fishing expedition in a remote part of the Amazon is about much more than the fishing itself. Long days on the river are followed by time at the lodge, sharing stories, meals, and experiences with fellow anglers.

BEYOND THE FISHING

The first week also ran smoothly from a logistical perspective, allowing the group to focus on the fishing and the overall experience.

Guests particularly highlighted the dinners prepared by Chef Andrew, which became an important part of the experience after long days on the river.

Michelle, our host, was also closely involved throughout the week, providing support and assistance to the group and helping ensure that everything ran smoothly during their stay.

In a remote jungle fishing destination like Pasimoni, these details matter. The combination of demanding fishing, an isolated Amazon environment, good food, and attentive hosting is an important part of the overall expedition.

LOOKING AHEAD

The first week of the 2026 season has provided an encouraging start to the fishing at Pasimoni Lodge.

With water levels still changing and the river continuing to evolve throughout the season, we will be watching closely to see how the fishery develops in the coming weeks.

Week 1 already produced:

34 Peacock Bass measuring 70 cm or more.
14 Peacock Bass over 80 cm.
A top fish of 88 cm.

And the season is only getting started.

The Pasimoni River still has plenty of stories to tell.
